An exceptionally busy week for Y6 Dance Club began on Monday 6th July as they performed at Barking's Broadway theatre to about 340 parents. See their dress rehearsal below, followed by some feedback from the organiser of the whole event, Mrs Caroline Watkins:

"The children were fantastic and a true credit to the school. Their performance clearly highlighted the commitment and passion for dance which you have invested in them. Please pass on my thanks and congratulations to the performers and of course the staff and parent helpers who made the day run so smoothly. I know it took considerable organisation to bring the students to Dagenham, but their work was extremely valued. I can’t wait to see them again next year!"

Then, on Thursday 9th came their biggest ever performance at London's QEII Centre as part of the PIXL (Partners in Excellence) celebration event in front of roughly 1200 people. In front of Matt Dawson MBE, they presented their Haka inspired "Spirit of Challenge" dance to great acclaim.

Finally, on Friday 10th July, they worked with their Y5 Dance Club friends to perform their other Haka inspired piece at the Friends of St. Michael's Fete, which was last performed at Colchester United's ground in April. Despite some technical issues which meant that they could barely hear the music for much of the dance, they all kept in remarkable time to finish the week in style.
