Weekly Newsletter: Friday 26th September 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you’ve had a wonderful week. School has been a hive of activity, full of joy, learning and shared experiences.

We began the week with an assembly focused on the importance of staying safe. We reminded all our pupils that our number one priority is their happiness and wellbeing. It was incredibly encouraging to hear so many children say they feel our school is a place where they can speak openly and be heard.

One of this week’s highlights has been the Year 5 residential trip to Kingswood. The children have been absolutely fantastic, and it's been lovely to hear about all the exciting things they've been doing. A heartfelt thank you to Mrs Sillett, Mrs Betteridge, Mrs Stringer and Mrs Liber, who generously gave up their time to ensure the trip was both safe and enjoyable.

Meanwhile, those children who remained in school had a brilliant time with Mrs Lockhart, who it was lovely to have back in school with us, taking part in a range of engaging activities, including baking, art and capture the flag to name a few. It has been great to see them working so beautifully together and seeing their confidence grow.

News and Notices

Photo Consent
Thank you to everyone who has already completed our updated photo consent form. We’ve had responses from nearly two-thirds of families, with 82% giving consent — which means we’ll be able to share more regular updates and celebrations from across the school.
If you haven’t completed the form yet, you can do so here.

Class Dojo Launch
We’ve had an exciting start to using Class Dojo in school this week! It’s been a real hit with the children. Next week, we’ll be sending out registration emails for parents to connect to their child’s account — so please keep an eye out.

Dinner Service Consultation
Thank you to the over 100 families who responded to our school dinner consultation — your feedback has been invaluable. We're looking forward to revealing our new menu and system in the coming weeks, ahead of the launch just before half term.

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s to come:

  • More home-cooked meals with varied daily options

  • Jacket Potato or Baguette as a choice each day.

  • A new ordering system allowing meals to be ordered in advance or in class on the day

A huge thank you to Cook Claire and her team for their hard work and enthusiasm in preparing this relaunch — we’re excited for you to see it!
